SONS OF GAÏA

The famous reggae band from Marseille (France) was born in 1998 by the meeting of seven explosive musicians fascinated by the ROOTS REGGAE MUSIC.
It's by following the greatest and missing jamaïcan singers' wakes that SONS OF GAIA can today pay them a really fine tribute.
Inspired by reggae roots artists from the 70's / 80's such as Augustus Pablo, Denis Brown, Mutabaruka, Count Ossie, SONS OF GAÏA try to carry on the eternal peace message of reggae music.

Lifting rythms, the grounation NYABINGHI offers an hypnotic atmosphere, sweetly mixed up with voices, deep bass, drum, brass section and the original sound of MELODICA.

ELVAS, the singer, never stop to compose and write French, English and Portuguese lyrics, arranged with the band in order to spread a topical consciousness.

They've already self-produced 2 CD MAXI (4 tracks each), selections from SONS OF GAÏA's music on 3 COMPILATIONS and a self-produced CD ALBUM "TRIBUTE", SONS OF GAIA is one of the most promising reggae band in France !

Since 1998, they have revealed us their music all around the country with more than 300 live performances. Actually, they are waking the curiosity of the european public after playing in Switzerland and Croatia. They are now looking forward their upcoming shows in Portugal and Spain...

More than a music band, SONS OF GAIA is a state of mind, a positive vibration united with a groove music which will find a place in your heart.

According to the french Law 1901, SONS OF GAÏA is also a non profit making association.
Dynamic and self-willed, they're setting up several festivals for humanitarian actions :

Since its beginning, mankind has, crisis after crisis, changed the eco-system several times ; and we are in one of this crisis. It's with our consciousness that we could create a stable environment. Or Gaïa will do it spontaneously without us.
The fight doesn't take place in town against the technic but overthere thanks to the technic. Inspired from "Hypothesis of Gaïa".
